its saturday!! so this week i was doing research on internet marketing.. well.. shit man.. you will then realise you like suddenly enter another dimension!! so dark that it can’t get any darker la!
and well, yes the internet is bloody not safe.. let me ask you a simple question ba, have you ever received marketing email where you are addressed by your full name and totally wonder how they got your full name? well. most likely, you identity was sold! for money! by list providers.

and shit, there are very powerful list provider who are able to get your education profile, your ‘current’ job, company etc!! well.. and sometimes, not surpisingly these are from some pretty big corporate w/o ethics! you being to an event where they put a vase at the reception? and you drop your name card in? well.. there are company out there who digitise those info printed on your name card and profile you!

i wun really go into the depth of how your profiling is done.. you wun want to know!!!

well. so i recently have this encounter, an online store, belugastore.com ( i wun buy from them for sure).. alright, so see this guy’s business which is a online store, belugastore.com, this joker send a email to his friends telling them to help him publicise, okie, nothing wrong here for sure.. but then he added something else. please cc it back to him when u forward your friends.. so business wise, his intent is to collect emails and then to send unsolicited email marketing to them. bloody hell, the friend who emailed me was damn not close, and i didn’t want to be informed about this store, much less receive further emails!

so wad really pissed me leh? first he collected database, okie, his friends are all dumb dumb.. cos jus they got no free macbook air for doing this!

secondly, guess wad happen next? they add me to friendster!! fuk man.. now i m really pissed, cos friendster totally contains my personal info like education, likes and dislikes! wad the fuck!

arg. very pissed to talk abt these shit, dun feel like talking abt it! knw quite a bit of unethical marketers myself at a half personal level. haiz.. well.. and if you happens to receive calls from telemarketers, dun tell them stuff they dun knw, like how old are you etc! and if they ask u if you are still working in your previous company? tell them, ya ya ya.. dun need to update them anything de.. then u will soon be able to know which kuku company sold your identity to!
